Separately, the yearly Premium plan offers a 7-day free trial to eligible new subscribers where the App Store or Google Play shows it. The trial renews into the yearly plan unless you cancel before it ends in your store subscription settings.
InstaTaste collects places from published lists and awards and from food creators. Sources include the Michelin Guide, World's 50 Best, James Beard Awards, Yelp Top 100, One Bite pizza reviews, Thai SELECT and specialty coffee rankings. Each spot shows which source recommended it. Large chains are filtered out. Listing a source does not imply endorsement of InstaTaste by that organization.
There are three different things. Published rankings, like the Michelin Guide or World's 50 Best, are shown as their publishers released them; InstaTaste doesn't change them. Ratings: when you check in, you can rate your visit from 1 to 10. Crowns reward recent check-in activity: at each spot, the most active member over the last 90 days holds the crown. Crowns aren't votes and don't affect published rankings.
InstaTaste covers cities across the US and internationally, including Europe, Asia and South America. Coverage is deepest wherever the trusted lists and creators it uses are active, and new lists are added over time.
